Dr. Frank Stirlacci grew up wanting to be a doctor, just like his uncle, Dr. Joseph Stirlacci — or Dr. Joe as he was known to generations of local families. Dr. Joe's practice was run from an office in the back of his house on Sumner Avenue in Springfield for 40 years, where he quite literally made his patients feel at home.
