Real-Life Medicine
Primary care medicine is all about all the decisions that affect your health.
When the doctor conducts an initial medical exam, be prepared to discuss your medical history as well as decisions like diet, smoking, and others.
The First Time You Visit
When you need a physical exam, our doctor wants you to be ready
Although it's not an everyday event, sooner or later you need to see a doctor for a physical exam. Many of our new patients arrive because they've asked a friend or family member who is currently an SNE Primary Care patient. We love to hear about that kind of referral: it shows we treat our patients right. The need for a medical exam may be:
- • child going to camp
- • child participating in athletics
- • family new to the area
- • switching doctors due to new health insurance
Please note that we do not see patients for physical exams relating to Worker's Compensation, personal injury evaluation, or pain management; see our office policies for more details.
Appointments that are convenient to your family
We are often able to make an appointment for a physical exam or other well visit for the next day. Sometimes even the same day. You can even get the forms you will need here on our website, so that you can have them filled out when you arrive. Please have all current insurance information with you when you arrive for your medical exam, and know that nearly every plan mandates that co-payments been made at the time of service. Please review the list of insurance we accept.
For a primary care doctor, the physical exam is just the first step in getting to know you
Primary care medicine is all about keeping track of the real-life, day-to-day decisions that affect your health. When the doctor conducts an initial medical exam, it is a chance to know what decisions play a role in your health. Be prepared to discuss family medical history, your own medical history, as well as social health-based decisions like diet, smoking, and others. It will all be entered into your secure electronic medical record.
Knowing you better means serving you better: we are able to provide prompt prescription refills, referrals to specialists, and other services to existing patients whose exams are current and records are up-to-date. Your first visit to SNE Primary Care can be the start of a healthier future.
