Regular well visits are the best way to maintain good health.

That's why we allow our patients to schedule well visits promptly. Usually, a current patient can be seen within 24 hours of calling.

Well Visits

A primary care physician is today's "apple a day"

The idea of seeing a physician shouldn't be tied to the idea of being sick. That's the wrong kind of old fashioned medicine; the right kind of old fashioned medicine is the idea of a doctor knowing the patient personally. As a primary care physician practice, that's what SNE Primary Care is all about. That's why we allow you to schedule well visits promptly—within 24 hours of when you call.

Having a regular well visit, as provided for in your health insurance plan, is the best way to prevent having to see a doctor because of ill health. (Of course, our primary care physician practice also accommodates sick or urgent visits, with same day openings available.) Call us today.

What happens in an SNE Primary Care well visit

Between the clinical staff and the primary care physician, a range of basic clinical health assessments will be made. Using electronic medical records enables us to keep careful track of how your health is progressing, and to spend additional time in the room with you to get to know how you're feeling on a day-to-day level. You might expect the nurses or physician to perform any of these primary care procedures:

  • •  check blood pressure
  • •  take an EKG reading
  • •  ask about your medical history
  • •  ask about your family history
  • •  ask about your diet
  • •  ask about your social habits (smoking, etc.)
  • •  ask about how often you exercise

Of course, all of this information will be handled within your right to privacy. If the time comes that you need a referral to a specialist or a hospital admission, the health care providers there will rely on your primary care physician to be able to provide this information to them. That is another patient advantage of electronic medical records: effectively sharing the right information, with far more certainty and accuracy than a paper record provides.
